an ode to your eyebrows by Rachel Raabe

an ode to your eyebrows

arched and angled,

hanging above your heavy gaze and

sharpening it to a fine point to be hurled,

wiggling in agitation,

begging to be picked up and petted –

(perhaps against one’s better judgement)

ferocity, momentarily placated
